About China Station

New Ownership 2024

China Station is one of the chinese restaurants listed in Fremont, California. The business is registered at 3880 Lake Arrowhead Ave, Fremont, CA 94555; use this page to check its hours, phone number and Google rating before you make the trip.

In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Fremont; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in California are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

The business lists hours on 6 days of the week. The most common schedule is 11 am–7:30 pm. It is closed on Tuesday. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. The listed phone number is (510) 487-7435. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

Its Google rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 101 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.

Fremont is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Fremont follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

New garlic chicken wings are less garlicy than the original. Still good eats. I plan to order more for future family parties. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Ambience for eating at the location remains weak. This restaurant is awesome for take out.

I’ve been getting chicken from China Station for years. When my family first immigrated here, they would frequent this place in the 90s and were regulars that were friendly with the man who ran the front. Fast forward to early 2000’s when most of my cousins and I were kids, we ALWAYS had this chicken at our family parties. The inside is no frills, but they were always so nice whenever we went for takeout. Was devastated when it closed temporarily and had tried it when it first reopened under new ownership. It was okay, and didn’t taste like the original recipe to me but still had the crunch. We ordered some today and it was SOOO GOOD. The garlic taste was absolute perfection, clean tasting, super crunchy, and juicy! I hate when my chicken is more slimey over juicy, and China Station always gets it right. Whoever cooked and made this early batch this morning did amazing, please keep doing what you’re doing!! It tasted just like the original I grew up with.

Found this place on Instagram from a reel talking about their garlic chicken wings. So far, the crispiest wings I ever had and juicy too with decent flavor. I also ordered their Mongolian beef with salt and pepper fish and pork chops alongside their honey walnut shrimp. For the money, they give you good quality and quantity and would definitely consider this place again for my Chinese food fix

Our family was happy to see China Station back up and running! We had been customers for 25 years under the original owners. Although the original owners are gone, walking into the restaurant still gave us a warm, cozy feeling. The signature garlic chicken wings are still here! The taste is almost identical and it has the same texture with the crispy sensation in every bite. The slight disappointment was the “hot” garlic chicken wings with the red pepper flakes are no longer an option. The is a new spicy chicken wing on the menu which will definitely leave your lips and tongue tingling. There are some interesting new options on the menu which we do want to try with our next visit.
